After receiving an invitation to a Valentine packing party for the non-profit group, Support Siouxland Soldiers, the ESC building decided to “rally the troops” into doing a collection for this worthwhile organization. Support Siouxland Soldiers sends care packages to Siouxland area soldiers serving overseas. Soon a challenge was issued between the first and second floor on what floor could bring in the most items and the have the best display. Various ESC staffers channeled Martha Stewart and the displays were transformed with flags, pictures and even patriotic background music! A whopping 10 boxes were filled with supplies and $250 was collected by having a $5 jeans day to help pay for the shipping of the care packages. A special thank you as well to the schools that sent Valentine cards made by their students!
