Would you be interested in helping us during the largest deployment of Iowa Troops since WWII?
Support Siouxland Soldiers volunteers play a key role in boosting the morale of those serving in our armed forces and their families. We are part of a unique team of individuals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.

What is a Patriot Member?
A Patriot member is recognized as a leader within the organization. They are kind and caring to all who participate. Support Siouxland Soldiers does not have a political agenda.  We are an independent, Siouxland non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to boost the morale of our Troops and their families.

We show up for care-pack events at 10am on the date of the care-pack event (approx. every other month) and help the event run smoothly. As we set things out to be packed the Patriot Members who have a deployed Soldier have first pick of things to send.


What we do on Care-Pack Day
  1. Bring items out of the store room and organize them on tables
  2. Set up tables
  3. Work the t-shirt table in selling t-shirts
  4. Keep the tables stocked with items for packing
  5. Help with planning and working fund-raisers
  6. Assisting the "Packers" with:
  • Filling out their custom form
  • Constructing and taping their box
  • Making sure the boxes are packed as full as possible
  • Placing all hygiene items in zip-lock bags to prevent the food from absorbing the smell
  • Taping their boxes shut and labeling them
What else? Compassion, integrity and dedication … these are the common threads of a Patriot Member.  There is no cost to become a member.
